- Frank McAlpin and Ralph Derleth co-found McAlpin-Derleth Tool & Die, a non-union, privately held, tool and die company located in Rochester, NY
1965
- The company adds stamping product line
1968
- Monroe Plating established as an in-house facility for zinc and barrel plating operations.
1971
- McAlpin-Derleth moves to present location at 255 Hollenbeck St., Rochester, N.Y.
1980
- Ken McAlpin joins company in sales department.
1981
- Frank McAlpin purchases McAlpin-Derleth and establishes McAlpin Industries.
1985
- Mike McAlpin joins the company as general manager of the plating division.
- Sheet Metal Fabrication Business starts with acquisition of Laser/Punching Machines.
1989
- 26,000 square foot facility expansion completed.
- Electro-Mechanical Assembly capability enhanced.
1991
- Transition to 2nd Generation begins.
1992
- Frank McAlpin retires; company remains a family business.
- Ken McAlpin becomes President
- Mike McAlpin named Vice President.
1994
- McAlpin Industries and Monroe Plating receive the New York State Industry Award for Economic Growth through Pollution Prevention.
1996–2000
- For four consecutive years, McAlpin Industries listed in Rochester's Top 100 Private Companies.
1997
- McAlpin Industries and Monroe Plating receive ISO 9002 certification.
1998
- McAlpin Industries and Monroe Plating awarded QS 9000 certification.
1999
- McAlpin Industries expands facility to 140,000 square feet.
- Ken McAlpin named CEO.
- Mike McAlpin named Executive Vice President.
2000
- Ken McAlpin named "Small Business Person of the Year"
2001
- McAlpin Industries achieves certification as a Qualified Hubzone business.
2004
