Ken McAlpin
President, CEO, Co-Owner
Ken holds a BS in Management and an MBA from St. John Fisher College. He began his career at Rochester Products division of General Motors, working in Accounting and Computer Operations. In 1980, he joined McAlpin Industries in a sales capacity. Ken’s community involvement has been extensive, serving on various boards and committees at all levels within the community. The Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce recognized Ken as the 2000 Small Business Person of the Year. Ken’s corporate focus centers on Sales, Marketing, and Finance, with all Senior Managers reporting directly to him.
Mike McAlpin, CPIM
Executive Vice President, Co-Owner
Mike holds a BS in Chemistry and Computer Science from Rochester Institute of Technology. Mike received (and has maintained) his Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) from APICS and has served this organization both locally and nationally. He was a 1999 recipient of Rochester’s “Forty under Forty” award for civic leadership and achievement. Mike’s professional focus as corporate officer is in Materials Management, including Procurement, Planning & Scheduling, Inventory, Distribution, Customer Service, and most recently Health, Safety, and Environmental.
Jon Chernak
Chief Financial Officer, CPA
Jon graduated from the University of Rochester with a BA in Economics and an MBA in Accounting / Finance. He joined McAlpin in 2000. His experience includes a wide range of responsibilities, from working at one of the "Big 4" accounting firms where he earned his CPA and serving as president of a small manufacturing company, to functioning as audit manager and business / financial analyst for various banking institutions and corporations. Jon’s professional focus covers all areas of accounting and finance, information systems, human resources, legal, insurance, and benefits programs.
Neal Morchower
Director of Engineering & Quality
Neal joined McAlpin Industries in early 2005, bringing with him 14 years of experience in Quality and Engineering from the automotive and plastics industries. He has a BS from SUNY Binghamton in Mathematical Physics, a Masters’ in Material Science and Engineering from Rutgers University, and an MBA in Operations and Service Management from the University of Rochester. He has received certifications from the American Society of Quality as a Certified Quality Engineer, Certified Quality Manager, and a Six-Sigma Black Belt. Neal's progressive management style and extensive experience is driving us towards continuous improvement.
Garland P. Beasley
Director of Operations
Prior to joining McAlpin Industries in 2005, Garland served as a Business Unit Manager for Eaton Corporation's largest North American plant. With over 19 years experience, he has held a number of progressively responsible positions within a diverse group of manufacturing companies, up to and including President & COO of a machine and tooling company. Garland holds a BS in Business Management from Western Governors University and an AAS in Mechanical Engineering from Monroe Community College. His hands-on experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma implementation is proving to be a tremendous benefit to McAlpin Industries.
