NORP – New Order Review Process
McAlpin's ongoing promise of quality
Every new product commissioned and manufactured at McAlpin Industries undergoes a review process called NORP, our New Order Review Process. What this means to you is that we have devised an internal process to ensure all customer requirements are known, understood, and defined, to better meet your quality, quantity and delivery requirements. Additionally, every new product revision (including a change in form, fit, or function) is run through this process.
From the initial design through final production, McAlpin's product development team works with you to achieve optimum product results. Our concurrent engineering approach shortens new product development time and provides for continuous information sharing between cross-functional groups (Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Customer Service, and Planning). Collectively, this group reviews customer specifications and decides which manufacturing process is the most efficient, cost-effective, and appropriate.
Whether the product is a complex electro-mechanical mainframe, an automotive mechanical assembly, or a part of the world class Pro Release Bowling Glove, all products are processed through NORP, ensuring manufacturability, quality, and failsafe production.
No detail is overlooked, and after we understand your project requirements, our design engineering group translates concepts into preliminary drawings and your project begins to take shape. From there, we move onto modeling, final design, prototyping, short run or continuous production, packaging and delivery.
