Have you ever heard of a “flexible” press room?
McAlpin Industries originated as a tool and die company and first expanded into metal stamping in 1965, with three low-tonnage punch presses. Since then, our punch press capability has grown to more than thirty presses, and our maximum tonnage has reached 440 tons.
All presses (as well as our entire facility) are equipped with quick disconnects for power and air, affording maximum flexibility. It is not unusual to see our shop floor undergo routine rearrangement, where presses are actually moved based on product mix. Punch presses are incorporated into work cells as needed, reducing cycle times, improving quality, and minimizing material handling.
All tools and dies are designed and built in-house, ranging from simple compound to complex progressive dies. In doing so, we maintain total control over hard tooling.
When volumes are higher, program life is longer, and tooling investment is a viable option, metal stamping is a MetalWorking Solution that affords you, the customer a lower unit cost and high repeatability.
