McAlpin Industries Hosts Manufacturing Day
High school students visiting McAlpin on Manufacturing DayOn the first Friday of each October, the National Association of Manufacturers holds a nationwide annual event called Manufacturing Day (MFG Day). The purpose of this event is to raise awareness on what manufacturing is and to address the common misconceptions of manufacturing.

In partnership with the PMA Educational Foundation, McAlpin Industries teamed up with local high schools and opened its doors to the students and teachers for plant tours, educational presentations, and Q&A sessions with various associates. Our goal for this event was to spread awareness on the wide array of careers one can find in manufacturing. From accounting to welding, manufacturing and manufactured parts reach nearly every aspect of our day to day lives. During the presentation and on the tour, the students were able to witness these careers in-action as well as the finished products of the various production stages they saw while on the tour.
