McAlpin Industries is proud to announce our latest capability: large machining. Our brand-new Hyundai Wia KH-1000 Heavy-Duty Horizontal Machining Center has the ability to machine parts up to 59” tall and includes a work diameter of 74.8”.

With a max weight capacity of 6600 lbs, we can accommodate larger weldments needing machining features on those weldments. Some additional features of the KH-1000 include:

• Heavy duty box way machine for chatter free machining
• 8-Face Contact Y-axis Guideway
• Travel is X-83” Y- 53” Z- 55”
• Accuracy - 0.0005”*
• 59” tall (includes a work diameter of 74.8”)
• Shuttle Type APC (Automatic Pallet Changer)
• 2 – 39.7” Pallets
• Spindle  35 hp,  Max 600 lb-ft. torque

In combination with our new ABB Robotics B-750 Flex Arc Weld Cell for large part MIG welding, we continue to diversify our capabilities and offer more efficient production solutions for our customers with large parts.
